Defining a Lean Expert

  • A Lean expert will be driving lean deployments in an organization, both functional and cross functions, to eliminate wastes , reduce cost of poor quality and increase the velocity of the process/ service or product,
  • Lean experts work with the customers ,business owners , delivery owners , delivery experts , suppliers , marketing , finance and HR functions to identify improvement opportunities from a customer perspective
  • Lean experts work with the automation team and process team to identify potential improvement opportunities and come up with an implementation plan for incremental and radical improvement
  • Lean expert is the improvement agent who works with all the key functions of the organizations to eliminate silos if any ,in order to enhance communication and smooth delivery
  • Lean experts coach and mentor process owners and team members on Value Stream Mapping and various tools and techniques of lean.

Objective of the program

To make a candidate an expert in tools and techniques to be used for elimination of wastes from the system, increasing the velocity of the business process, reduction of cost of poor quality, identification of automation opportunities

Who should attend this program

Any professional with 2 years or more work experience interested in learning and implementing lean techniques in his/her work area

5D Methodology of define, diagnose, design, develop and deliver, in which 50% of the time is  spent on theory and the other  50% is spent  on practical.

What is expected of a lean expert in a company

  • To work on 3-4 projects per year
  • Become a lean evangelist to spread the lean culture in the organization

Things you should  do to be a certified lean expert

Complete a 4 full day training with TrainFirm, adding up to 32 hours
Complete the assignments on case studies
Appear for the exam on the 4th day and pass in the exam with a minimum of 60%
